We have a wasp nest with 4 adult wasps on jam between door and screen of our front door..... So far they are peaceful and haven't buzzed anyone.   We've watched them.....they've watched us when we go to the door.  I could think of many parallel theories of this impasse between human and critter...... and I'm filled with wonder of why they have chosen this space.....why they are so calm and without fear when we go in and out of the door.....

Mid July and it doesn't feel like July.....lots of rain.  Let's see what August brings.....

A neighbor's house has roses along the sidewalk up to their door..... I wonder is it wise to use roses as a border plant....that could become quite a thorny path.

Just watched the movie TAKEN .....  Anyone taking a trip to a foreign country should watch this movie......  In the real world doubt the ending would be the same......

Greed has given us the impression that we are making more money, sure what we make has doubled if you compare 70's to today's salaries, however although it has doubled with an extra zero, the percentage of what that money can buy is the same.....

What you could buy for 500.00, for example a nice used car back in the 70's is now 5000.00.  look at any item, the price now and what it was then.  Now go from the 70's to the 50's....from the 50's to the 20's  Nothing has changed, the value of money and it's purchase power is the same.....in all generations.    It's an illusion that we are making more money than our ancestors.....

A quiet day at home on Mother's day..... My son's gifts...... badly needed yard work and roof gutter cleaning...... Thank you.

With the weather changes I'm finding myself more and more off the computer and doing other things......

Had the 'flu' two weeks before the outbreak..... at least that is what the doctor put on the receipt.....  Gave me antibiotics and sent me home.   To me it wasn't flu like..... Just felt like my back was out and severe headach for one entire day......

I practice safety from catching flu or colds every day.....  If only a sick person would take time to heal before going out into crowds, there wouldn't be such an epidemic out there.

I attempted to join Facebook at the invite of a friend..... it asked me to allow submission/review of my address book and I didn't want to do that and backed out of it..... lost my entry name and password and probably am forever banned..... until I get it straightened out....  The surprising thing is the link that pops up every time I write here and I don't know why.

Had some thoughts today about broken things..... it seems that at every turn something gets broken..... My car has broken things window, passenger door handle & Hood latch.  My house..... plumbing for bathtub doesn't work..... on & on......  It seems all attempts to fix one thing brings on 2 or 3 other broken things......  Throwing money into the repairs causes debt.....so things stay broken.....sigh...... I remember finding knobs for the heater in my car and the ability to put the needle nose plyers away.....then the knob broke again.....

I guess I am a collector of things to fix.....heh.

My lawyer told me that I cannot, absolutely should not, under penalties of the law claim Bob the unemployed cat in the bankruptcy.......
