Got a hand full of tiny potatoes..... .I'm impressed that they grew at all.  The sweet potato plant was really pretty.   One night of cold temps in the 30's and all died.....   I'll try again next year.

All summer, most of the cats have decided they wanted to stay outside.....except for two who have accepted the new dog.  She is part German Shepard and Husky..... a great watch dog with an attitude.   With the colder weather they've come back in though accepting that the new dog is here to stay...... Now to monitor the heat registers - which is a cat's favorite place to sleep......

got some happy potato plants..... sweet potatoes look like a vine..... crazy cooler temps may actually work here in Missouri, Midwest USA..... Internet didn't actually say when to plant, or I missed.....

I guess more research is needed.....

Cooler weather, taking advantage of the mild temps. Planted both white and sweet potatoes...... will see if I get a crop this year.....first time trying.....wish me luck.

exploring cats, two of them, went into the garage when the door was opened 2 days ago..... If I hadn't been paying attention to sounds as I got out of my car tonight..... I shudder to think what would have become of them..... They are chilling once more with me..... however, separation anxiety, with screaming meows for the first hour from one of my kitties..... She is fine now..... the other will not stray far from my lap.

It's summer, all kitties like it outside or I'd have missed these two sooner.

Pouring rain and gusty wind most of the early afternoon today..... The Sun is trying to peek through the clouds now and the birds are singing..... I think it might be that moment when the storm is over.....

Bob is gone.....He was a great cat..... I miss him very much.

Bob, my oldest cat is not doing too well.....he is old, cranky and has lost a lot of weight..... He was approx 3 to 5 years old when I got him from petsmart in 2002.....

3800.00 loan and I now have a new furnace. Guess a furnace for a house has a 20 year life..... no one told me that..... It was installed 2/5/14 ..... Nice again to feel heat here.
