Took a trip to our WWI memorial yesterday. The war to end all wars. Thought to be that when it ended. ONE thing I did learn yesterday.....the same problems thought resolved in that war occurs over and over and over..... even if we are no longer sending our men to hold the line in over 400 miles of trenches. It does not make the reality of war any better.
Mid June 22 starving cats showed up on our doorstep. Between my neighbor across the street we have brought them back to health with food, fixed them and they are spending their time with us until adopted. Cats have been fixed for 2 weeks and today a new one shows up. These cats are all friendly, healthy and have kept us busy. One has gone to Heartland shelter in Ks because he was injured and lost an eye..... Told that he was a she, they shaved his tummy and was both spayed and neutered..... poor little guy. He and his sister are both silver tabbies. Neela got adopted Saturday by a friend who wanted the brother, but he was already gone to the shelter. I did discover another male cat with a shaved tummy, but think they caught it sex before incision.... Learned from the first mistake I hope.
